Episode 105

Dream retirement home from an abandoned house in Japan - talking with Lawrence in Iwakuni

In this talk, we chat while we get a house tour from Lawrence and also have the chance to talk with the builder who worked on his house and the supplier of beautiful domestic wood for the project.

After meeting in California and living and working for the US military in Iwakuni, Japan for many years, Lawrence and his wife say they are "empty nesters" as they were looking a great home with garden space and a garage to enjoy in their retirement years. A place to welcome their grandkids to come and play as well as to welcome friends and family to come visit, relax and stay in their own guest house.

For more details, check out the great videos Lawrence has shared documenting his house buying and renovation process on his YouTube channel @cocolenchojapan
